Orica Camel Powder Coatings is a 50/50 joint venture between two international paint producers: Orica Powder Coatings a division of the Orica Group of Businesses and Camelpaint Chemicals Co, a privately owned Hong Kong and PRC paint manufacturing company, focused on providing domestic customers superior quality and the best services with advanced technology. The joint venture that was signed in 2004, is a culmination of over 15 years working together supplying powder coatings to the China market.

The Orica Group is a publicly listed Australian global chemical sciences company with a turnover in excess of US$2bn and with approximately 9000 employees. Orica has global representation in over 30 different countries and has its main business activities in Mining Services, Fertilizers, Chemicals and Consumer Products.

Orica Powder Coatings began manufacturing in Australia and New Zealand in 1975 and the products produced have been sold domestically and internationally. Orica Powder Coatings has powder manufacturing plants in Auckland – New Zealand , and Melbourne – Australia , along with sales representation in Singapore , Malaysia , Taiwan and the USA . Exports of Orica powder coatings currently go to more than 15 countries.

The Orica powder coatings factory has been outfitted with the most modern technology and European sourced powder manufacturing equipment available. It is capable of supplying a wide range of high quality, and highly specified powder coatings based on well engineered proven technology.

Camelpaint has accumulated 75 years experience in paint manufacturing and marketing and has its Head Office in Hong Kong, where the business was first established. With factories in Dongguan ,and offices in Beijing, Shanghai , Nanhai and Wuhan ,Camel is well placed to service its China - wide customer base and distribution network. The famous Camel brand is also marketed through Licensees in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
